ILEX SYSTEMS, INC., incorporated in the State of California, began operations in January 1982. The company was formed to develop, manufacture, and market state-of-the-art communications and other computer-based products and to provide complementary engineering services to client organizations. In March 1998, ILEX was purchased by L3 Communications Corp., a leading merchant supplier of secure communications products, microwave components, avionics and ocean systems and telemetry, instrumentation, space and wireless products.
Today, the ILEX staff number over 1000 outstanding professionals, applying software technology to solve real-time system problems and providing a broad range of consulting and engineering support services. ILEX is structured into two operating units: Defense Systems Services Division, and Navy and Aviation Systems Division.
